On 26th May 2019 Honorable Minister for Commerce Mr. Tipu Munshi, M.P., visited the Bangladesh Competition Commission.

The Chairperson, Mr. ATM Murtozaa Reza Chowdhury ndc along with other Members rendered him a warm welcome. Mr. M. Abdur Rauf, Member, BCC presented a slide portrayal on Competition Act, 2012 and expected role of the Bangladesh Competition Commission (BCC) to give impetus to the growth of Bangladesh Economy as well as support to achieve vision 2021 & 2041. BCC has an important role to ensure competitive environment in our economy. Under the competitive environment, business people will be able to identify proper area for investment. Cost of production of goods & services will be lower. As a result, the consumers will be benefited and also innovation will be encouraged. So, consumers will get more options in the markets.

Honorable Minister imparted strategic directives to make BCC easily understandable to the commoners. He advised the audience to work in such a way so that business people and the consumers understand that BCC has been working for their benefit.

All officers along with Honorable Member Md. Abul Hossain Mian of BCC, PS, APS to Honorable Minister for Commerce and PRO of MoC were present in the occasion.
